Oliver Peoples Diandra OV1126T Review
Celebrating over 25 years of success Oliver Peoples is a highly established eyewear brand within its own right. The first ever boutique store opened in 1986 in Hollywood, California. Creative director and founder of the brand, Larry Leight, has a fascination with vintage eyewear and all of his designs are inspired by vintage fashion. After winning a collection of vintage frames at an auction, Leight sold them and noticed how popular the retro style was with people. He then started creating his own eyewear which instantly became a huge success.
The Oliver Peoples Diandra perfectly depicts the vintage eyewear look. The spectacles are extremely stylish and acquire a mid-century sophistication. They are oval shaped and are available for both males and females. You are able to choose from different colour options to suit your personal taste and most of the colours come in deep rich colours which breathe eloquence and class. The Oliver Peoples OV1126T glasses are a blend of metal and acetate. They are half-rimmed with the acetate on the top of the front of the frames and feature filigreed titanium. The nose bridge is metal holding the plastic lenses together.
The design is simply exquisite as the metal bridge, bottom wiring of the frame and part of the arms is embossed with a fashionable pattern. The subtle Oliver Peoples logo engraved on the hinges looks stylish along with two small birds and only those who are aware of the elite brand will recognise it. The temple ends are made out of acetate which means it is comfortable for the wearer at the ears.
The OV1126T has two small ball pins which strongly holds the metal on the front of the plastic part of the frames. The glasses have adjustable silicone nose pads for extra comfort. Oliver Peoples are famous for using the finest materials which are imported from Italy and produced in Japan. They are lightweight and slender giving a mature sophisticated look. The brand’s eyewear is timeless and style personified.
